Sources, method and corrections

Every claim on the Pirate Shop Token page links to where it came from. This page explains how we sort those sources and keeps a record of changes.

How claims are graded

The calculator

The calculator assumes every chest is an independent roll with the same chance p, so the chance of at least one token after n chests is 1 − (1 − p)n. Epic's statement that every player has an equal chance fits this model, but Epic hasn't described how the roll works, whether there's a cap, or whether the chance changes over time. Treat the results as "what this number would mean," not as a prediction.

Privacy

This site sets no cookies, shows no ads and loads nothing from third parties. The calculator saves your chest count and settings in your browser's local storage so they're there next time. That data never leaves your device; clear your browser's site data to remove it. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver and protect the site.
